Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, 28 year member of the American Cleft Palate Association and American Association of Orthodontists - Dr. Ritoli is the sole orthodontist in her warm and welcoming West Hartford practice.

Dr. Ritoli is at home here in Connecticut - having grown up in Southington (and adoring fan of the apple fritters at the Southington Apple Harvest Festival) - she received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology and minor in Sociology from Merrimack College and Doctorate of Dental Medicine at The University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. After a General Practice Residency at Long Island Jewish Hospital, she returned to Connecticut for a 3 year residency and received both a Certificate in Orthodontics as well as a Master’s of Dental Science degree. Dr. Ritoli was Clinical Assistant Professor in the Orthodontics Department at The University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine for 3 years - and then went on to start a solo orthodontic practice in West Hartford Center - where she has happily been ever since. Dr. Ritoli completed the Roth Williams International Society of Orthodontics course in 1999, which has strongly influenced her philosophy of patient care throughout the years and benefited her patients.

Together with an incredibly compassionate and uniquely skilled Team, Dr. Ritoli has become known as loving to treat the unique child. Individuals with intellectual, developmental or physical disabilities, or even incredibly shy and fearful children have found a home at Dr. Ritoli’s office. She believes every child deserves a chance for a healthy, beautiful smile...and sometimes it just takes a little extra time or thinking out of the box. She believes you are never too old, it is never too late, and no one is ever too difficult to have a chance for a joyful smile.

Dr. Ritoli’s other passion and expertise is in the care of individuals with Craniofacial Difference. Dr. Ritoli has been honored to have worked with Craniofacial Teams and Craniofacial Individuals since Dental School. Together with her husband of 28 years, a Board Certified Pediatric Craniofacial Surgeon, they have pioneered in the field and invented a game changing surgery just for individuals with Cleft palate 15 years ago. They attend the American Cleft Palate meeting yearly to keep abreast in the field and share their insights.

Dr. Ritoli’s newest endeavor was starting a nonprofit organization, Choose Kindness, that is dedicated to individuals born with craniofacial difference. The first ever Choose Kindness Camp - the only one in the northeast region - will be taking place this September. Stay tuned....

Dr. Ritoli lives in West Hartford with her husband and 2 Labrador Retrievers... they cherish frequent visits to their 3 grown children, are avid Uconn Huskies fans, and love spending time with family and friends.
